The importance of my country to the world--United States

As the most powerful nation in the world you would think we would use our power like a benevolent super hero and help to build up the world but unfortunately we like tearing stuff down instead. Sure we say that it is under the guise of the best interests of the world but we are certainly selective about who we will bestow our power on and who we use it against.

We have a large armed forces and the men and women who are a part of it are brave, intelligent and strong. Unfortunately for them there are a bunch of bozos running stuff who like to tell soldiers to torture and harm prisoners completely disregarding laws we have punished and put sanctions against other countries for doing.

We have a lot of rich people in our country. People like Bill Gates and Donald Trump. Mr. Gates is doing a good bit of charity work and donating lots of money through his foundation to countries in Africa and India. Mr. Trumps is on TV and builds a lot of stuff and buys realestate.

There are some very important schools in our country like Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Yale and MIT. These schools have done so much in researching areas that enhance the lives of many people on our planet. These schools are very expensive so unless you are rich and smart you can't really attend.

I am having a hard time thinking of positive things that are important about our country. I can think of things that are more cautionary than productive.
