The Importance of My Country to the World - Canada

I do have to agree with Nnanaa from Singapore that this is a difficult topic to attend to, but will take a go at it.

In Current times Canada is one of the most prevalent suppliers of Oil and gas, and, as gas and oil are such internationally used and increasingly difficult to acquire commodities this does demonstrate part of our importance.

Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world (by total land mass). This may not make for our 'importance' but is an interesting fact to take note of.

Where we do become rather important to the world would be in agriculture. From our praries come wheat and other grains that are shared with the world. Too we have the largest source of Zinc and Uranium and are leaders in the mining of Gold, nickel, aluminum and lead. (Thanks to Wikepedia for some help with this information) .

That probably covers our major 'importantance' topics - but too, it is probably important that we exist as an open, caring, receptive country where many have come over time leaving homes to find a new safe place which is the mosaic of cultures that we have become.
